In a setting that oozes Nashville history and charm, it is only right to have an event that does the same. With whiskey barrel chandeliers designed by Abi Reed of Nashville Event Lighting and strung lights, the big room was filled with an elegant, rustic glow. The bridesmaids donned simple strapless yellow dresses and cowboy boots as they made their entrance into the reception to what else but Brooks and Dunn’s “Boot-Scootin Boogie”.
Guests enjoyed a cocktails, coffee and appetizers in Noteable Blends before the wedding party arrived. Food was catered by in the incomparable Smoke Et Al and featured items such fried pickled okra, an array of smoked meats and southern inspired side dishes. A beautiful refreshment bar was erected out of more whiskey barrels holding a gorgeous arrangement of fresh squeezed lemonade and sweet tea.
It was an event to remember here at Houston Station, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the vision and hard work of planner Angela Proffitt. Hope to see the official pictures from photographer Matt Andrews soon!
