Celebrate one of Nashville’s trendiest and most historic neighborhoods at the inaugural “Taste of Wedgewood-Houston” 21-and-up mixer at Houston Station. A benefit organized by the Friends of Fort Negley to raise awareness of the historic significance of the fort and its surrounding neighborhood, the event will feature live music and food and drink from a variety of vendors.
Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30.00 at the door.
Each ticket is good for unlimited tastes from our food vendors and two drink tickets good for any of our drink vendors. Additional drink tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the event.
A 30 minute trolley tour of Fort Negley, the City Cemetery, and the historic neighborhood with Davidson County Historian Carole Bucy will be offered at 5:15 pm for only $10.
Free parking available at Fort Negley Park with free shuttle service to Houston Station.
Fort Negley, built by Union forces following the surrender of Nashville in 1862, protected the southern approaches to Nashville. The Visitors Center offers films on the history Fort Negley, the surrender of Nashville and the Battle of Nashville. Fort Negley Park is open dawn until dusk for self guided walking tours. Guided group and school tours are available with advanced reservations.
